Sofia, January 7, 2025

The National card and payment scheme (NCPS), part of BORICA AD, has announced the successful completion of the national consumer campaign "Transfer by Mobile Number," which ran from July 1 to December 17, 2024. The campaign exceeded all expectations, solidifying blink P2P as the preferred service for instant transfers between individuals.

During the campaign, over 1,200 users received monetary rewards totaling more than 60,000 BGN.

In 2024, more than 1.27 million blink P2P transactions were processed, positioning the service among the market leaders in digital payments. Registered users surpassed 900,000 by November 2024, with the number expected to exceed 1.3 million in 2025.

Enhancements to blink services

In addition to the campaign's success, NCPS continued to enhance solutions based on blink technology:

Instant payments in euro: On December 3, 2024, the service for instant payments in euro was launched, attracting significant interest. In less than a month, 50,000 instant euro transfers were completed. Currently, the service is offered by "MyFin" EAD, "First Investment Bank" AD, and "Central Cooperative Bank" AD.

Upcoming features:

In 2025, the blink service will be expanded with new functionalities, including:
- Payments for hourly parking in blue and green zones,
- Donations for charitable causes,
- Subscriptions for public transport,
- Payments for private parking lots.

Blink P2P – innovation for everyday payments

Blink P2P enables instant transfers via mobile number without requiring complex IBAN details. The service is available 24/7, including holidays, and allows free transfers of up to 100 BGN.

"The campaign proved that users quickly adopt innovations when they meet their needs. The blink P2P service has transformed our daily financial habits and has established itself as a symbol of speed, convenience, and reliability," said Stoilka Arsova, Director of NCPS.
