Bcard
The National Card and Payment Scheme Bcard sets out the regulatory rules and technology standards under which it operates.
Going through a formal certification process that verifies compliance with these standards by any technological element or process in the system is a necessary condition for ensuring effective interaction between the participants in the transaction process.
Bcard certification must be executed by each:
- Issuer, willing to issue Bcard cards to its clients;
- Acquirer, willing to acquire Bcard cards at its terminals;
- Provider of cards, terminals or systems, willing Bcard transactions to be executed by their products.
The Bcard Certification Center is responsible for the creation and execution of the policy for compliance with the Scheme’s technology standards.
